    The Teacher Education Department at MVSU will hold Praxis trainings in the O.P. Lowe Education Building. The training being offered includes Praxis II Mathematics. Registration must be completed by Thursday, Mar. 2.

    Studio A offers Vinyasa Style Yoga and classes are suitable for all levels, from the experienced yogi to the beginner! This is a pay-what-you-want yoga class. Our suggested donation is a sliding scale of $5-$10 per class, though we won't turn anyone away for a lack of funds. Class structure and postures will vary depending on the instructor. Bring a towel and a bottle of water!

  1. "Why Jesus?" A Weekend with Will Willimon

    March 3, 2017, 5:00 PM - March 5, 2017, 12:00 PM @ Episcopal Church of the Nativity

    Spend a weekend in Greenwood with one of the great preachers and Christian thinkers of our time. Dr. Will Willimon is retired Dean of Duke University Chapel and retired bishop of the North Alabama Conference of The United Methodist Church. He is currently Professor of the Practice of Ministry at Duke Divinity School.

    Over three lectures and discussions, Dr. Willimon will lead us to consider Jesus as the most interesting thing about Christians, and the most interesting Word we can share with the world. All lectures will take place at Episcopal Church of the Nativity, 400 Howard Street.

    Dr. Willimon's book, "Why Jesus?," may be purchased at Turnrow Book Co. in-store or online:

    This event is free and open to the public, but donations are accepted. Our approximate cost is $50 per person.

    Eliza Pillars Registered Nurses of Mississippi will hold a health and wellness fair. This event is free and open to the public. Blood pressure, glucose monitoring, cholesterol, and more screenings will be available. Health information will also be provided on HIV, hypertension, diabetes, mental health and obesity.
