"Why Jesus?" A Weekend with Will Willimon2017-03-03T17:00:00Spend a weekend in Greenwood with one of the great preachers and Christian thinkers of our time. Dr. Will Willimon is retired Dean of Duke University Chapel and retired bishop of the North Alabama Conference of The United Methodist Church. He is currently Professor of the Practice of Ministry at Duke Divinity School.
Over three lectures and discussions, Dr. Willimon will lead us to consider Jesus as the most interesting thing about Christians, and the most interesting Word we can share with the world. All lectures will take place at Episcopal Church of the Nativity, 400 Howard Street.

This event is free and open to the public, but donations are accepted. Our approximate cost is $50 per person.

Dr. Jim Miller, Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma will provide a lecture in the Church Parlor at 9:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. He will also be preaching in the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service.
Lyon College Pipes and Drums of Batesville, Arkansas will perform a concert on Main Street – 10:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. and they will play in the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service.
After worship, join us for the Kirkin’ Luncheon in Shuler Hall.
Luncheon tickets are required: Adults $7 (11 years and older), Children $2 (PBJ)
